Uneventful doctors appointments

Let me tell you. Since our first ultrasound on Feb. 18th we have not had uneventful appointments. All appointments since then left us with terrible news, in tears, or wondering how we would split our lives in 2 different cities. Yesterday both appointments went smoothly and I actually got to come home instead of being admitted to the hospital like my last 2 OB appointments.
First we met with Dr. Weber. He is a fetal heart specialist with Hershey. We met with him before and didn't care too much for him. I still don't like him 100% but he somewhat redeemed himself with kind words. He said that he can't be 100% certain that the baby will need corrective heart surgery until she is born and they can do an ultrasound directly on her and not through me. He is pretty confident she will need an operation, but he will make no guarantees until the time comes. Which is pretty much what CHOP had told us as well.
Next was my OB appointment. There we saw Dr. Botti. I had actually seen him the day before on TV. He is the doctor that delivered the famous sextuplets from Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC. I thought it was funny. He is a really cool laid back kind of guy. He said as long as I continue to do what I am doing, which is basically nothing, that he thinks we will just continue to go along smoothly.
Next appointments are in 2 weeks. We will have another ultrasound to check measurements on the baby and also check out her GI tract. Then we will see the celebrity Dr. Botti again.
So back to my couch I go!
